Guiding our
mission forward
ABOUT US
About Our League
At HEGEMONY Sports (a HEGEMONY H.O.P.E. Foundation 501(c)(3)), we believe that a scoreboard only tells half the story. Our mission is to provide accessible and affordable youth sports and mentoring programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 15 in our community.
We don't just coach athletes; we mentor future leaders. By combining high-energy athletics with a focus on teamwork, discipline, and goal setting, we help children build the resilience and confidence they need to succeed long after the final whistle.
"Results Not Excuses"
In our community, we teach that success is earned through effort. Whether your child is stepping onto the field for the first time or looking to sharpen their competitive edge, our programs are designed to foster practical lifelong healthy habits and personal growth.

Michael Williamson: President/Founder/Commissioner
Michael is a community visionary who believes that your starting point doesn’t have to define your destination. Raised in a high-crime, low-income environment, surrounded by gangs, drugs, and violence, Michael’s journey is one of radical transformation—from labor-intensive roles to becoming a seasoned M.B.A. graduate, executive, and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience. After scaling multi-state healthcare enterprises and opening 30+ clinics nationwide, Michael took a "leap of faith" to bet on his own entrepreneurial spirit, eventually owning and operating ten successful business ventures.
Today, Michael channels his extensive background in strategic operations and executive leadership into his true calling: the HEGEMONY H.O.P.E. Foundation. As the architect of HEGEMONY Sports, he provides the only multi-sport and mentoring programs for boys and girls throughout the Plumas Lake region. Whether he is serving as a Governing Board Member for the local school district or advising on the Congressional Board on Opioids, Michael’s mission remains the same: empowering the next generation to build a foundation of resilience, ethics, and self-belief. He lives by a simple ethos, Results not Excuses!
Dani Muswieck: Vice President/Director of Communications
Dani has been part of HEGEMONY Sports since its very beginning and has played an integral role in helping build and support the organization from the ground up. Throughout her time with the league, Dani has served in many roles, including Board Member, Director of Communications, event helper, volunteer supporter, and community advocate. Through her continued involvement, she has helped create a positive, welcoming, and encouraging experience for athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers.
Dani’s passion is helping young people grow—not only as athletes, but as confident, supported, and capable individuals. She believes every child deserves the opportunity to feel included, develop life skills, build resilience, and discover their potential in a positive environment. Her dedication to youth development is reflected in her commitment to creating programs and experiences that help children thrive both on and off the field.
Having lived in the community for more than 10 years, Dani deeply values the strong sense of connection and support among local families. As a parent of three children who proudly participate in youth sports programs organized by HEGEMONY Sports, she has witnessed firsthand the meaningful impact these opportunities have on children, families, and the community as a whole.
A teacher since 2014, Dani brings her professional experience in education, along with her perspective as a parent and community member, to her work with HEGEMONY Sports. She believes children thrive when they feel supported, included, encouraged, and challenged to reach their full potential. The same values she brings to the classroom—structure, compassion, and positive relationships—guide the way she serves the organization.
